Gender Equality / Social Inclusion and Disability Advisor (GESI and Disability Advisor)

Job Description: 

The GESI and Disability Advisor is the technical lead and responsible for Save the Children in Nepal/Bhutan's work in ensuring that gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) and disability concerns are incorporated in different stages of the project cycle: situation assessment, project development, planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. S/he participates in high-level working groups focused on GESI and disability, both internally and globally.

S/he plays a lead role in setting the strategic direction for GESI/disability and plays a  senior representational and advocacy role with the GoN, donors, and key national and international stakeholders, and works with SC members and internal stakeholders to maximize program delivery from GESI/disability lens.

Eligibility:

  • Master's degree in Development Studies, Gender Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Human Rights, Law, Psychology, Education, or any other relevant field.
  • Minimum of 7 years (5 years for GSI group-) of working experience in a relevant field, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
