TSC Vacancy Notice for Lower Secondary Teachers

The Government of Nepal, Teachers Service Commission, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, has published an open and inclusive competitive examination advertisement for the post of teacher at the lower secondary level, third class.

According to the notice published on April 7, 2026 (2082/12/24 BS), applications have been invited from eligible and interested candidates for permanent appointment to vacant posts in community schools of Nepal.

This advertisement has been published based on the number of demanded posts received by the commission from the Centre for Education and Human Resource Development on March 26, 2026 (2082 Chaitra 12 BS).

Written Examination (Subject-specific) and Interview: To be determined at the time of publication of the result of the general examination

Examination Centers: Morang District of Koshi Province, Dhanusha District of Madhesh Province, Makwanpur District of Bagmati Province, Kaski District of Gandaki Province, Dang District of Lumbini Province, Surkhet District of Karnali Province, and Kailali District of Sudurpashchim Province

Application Fee: Rs. 700. An additional Rs. 500 will be charged for each inclusive group.

Application Deadline: May 6, 2026 (2083/01/23 BS)

Extended Deadline with Double Fee: May 13, 2026 (2083/01/30 BS)

Age Limit: By the final date of application submission, the candidate must have completed 18 years of age and not exceeded 40 years. This age limit will not apply in the case of serving permanent teachers.

Minimum Qualification:

The candidate must be a Nepali citizen, must not be disqualified under the Teachers Service Commission Rules, and must have passed the secondary education completion examination (Class 12) or an equivalent examination from a recognized educational institution in the relevant subject, with at least 200 full marks or 8 credit hours, and must have completed at least 10 months of training in education. In addition, the candidate must have obtained a permanent teaching license for the lower secondary level. In the case of Mathematics-Science, the candidate must have studied both Mathematics and Science with 200/200 full marks or 8/8 credit hours.

Application Submission Method: Application for the advertised post must be submitted only through the online application system: https://online.tsc.gov.np/ To pay the fee, the voucher can be printed from the system and payment may be made through Rastriya Banijya Bank, Nepal Bank Limited, or designated Digital Wallet options.

Documents to be Uploaded: Citizenship certificate, recently taken photograph, signature sample, transcript of minimum educational qualification, training certificate, and permanent teaching license. For those who studied at a foreign institution, an equivalence certificate is mandatory. Those applying under the inclusive category must submit documents certified by the concerned authority. All documents must be uploaded in jpeg/jpg format, with a maximum size of 200 KB.

A candidate may compete under both the open and inclusive groups through the same examination. However, one person may apply for only one province and one subject.
