Re-advertisement: Family Planning Adviser (1 position) (Temporary Appointment - NO-C), Job ID: 20016, Kathmandu based, Deadline: Wednesday, 16 January 2019 by 5 pm Nepal time
Eligibility:
Master's Degree in Public Health, with at least 5 years professional experience in policy advocacy work and in managing health programmes, preferably in the area of sexual and reproductive health and family planning (SRH/FP), or Medical Doctor (MBSS) with at least 7 years professional experience in the aforementioned field. Knowledge of decentralization of health systems, of the federal context in Nepal as well as of the latest developments in the field of SRH/FP including health financing and health systems strengthening is preferable. Excellent analytical skills and ability to provide strategic technical leadership, handle complexities and engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders essential. Demonstrated leadership, management, and team working skills required. High degree of proficiency in both written and spoken English and Nepali required. Ability to elaborate reports, document and disseminate good practices essential.

Eligibility:
Master's Degree in Public Health, with at least 2 years professional experience in management of health programmes, preferably in the area of sexual and reproductive health and family planning (SRH/FP), or Medical Doctor (MBBS) with at least 4 years professional experience in the aforementioned field. Knowledge of the latest developments in the field of SRH/FP and ability to provide technical leadership in the area of family planning, including health systems strengthening and supply chain management required. Excellent analytical skills and ability to handle complexities, work in diverse local contexts as well as engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders essential. Experience of working with Government and Non-Government partners at the national and sub-national level, with knowledge of decentralized health systems strengthening required. Fluency in English and Nepali. Excellent written skills, ability to elaborate reports, document and disseminate good practices essential.
