World Vision International Nepal (WVIN), an international Christian relief, development, and advocacy organization dedicated to working with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice, is looking for potential Nepalese candidates to fill out the following position:

I. Position: Infrastructure Coordinator - (One)

- based in Sarlahi District (Short Term- Four Months)

Key Responsibilities:

The Infrastructure Coordinator will be responsible to facilitate, guide, monitor, support and assess the infrastructure development works in schools, health posts, and communities under the scope of different sectoral projects.

S/he will also support the Sectoral Specialist for the planning and implementation of construction activities. In due course, s/he will work closely with respective partners and World Vision field staffs under the guidance of the Supervisor.

This position will also be responsible to guide PNGO Technical teams for the implementation of construction activities.

S/He will work closely with the relevant external, internal and community partners and ensure the quality of work by using the technical tracking system and focus on achieving results.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required-

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with 3 years' experience in construction works (Especially in Building and WASH). Must have knowledge and skills in construction project implementation and the ability to work in different target groups and changing environments. Must have the technical knowledge to do construction activities field survey, design, drawing, estimation and check vulnerability assessment of structures. We should have a thorough understanding of rehabilitation and retrofitting works and should possess the ability to ensure the specification of construction materials while ensuring the quality of construction works.

Core competencies for the position: The candidate must have excellent communication skills with proven English language fluency (written and verbal) along with excellent analytical skills; Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Packages; Willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently; Must be strategic, creative, and innovative with decision making and problem-solving skills.
