Buddhabhumi Campus (बुद्धभूमि क्याम्पस, बरकुलपुर, कपिलवस्तु) is a community campus established in 2008 AD (2065 BS) in Buddhabhumi Municipality-2, Barkulpur, Kapilvastu, Lumbini Province, Nepal. The campus is affiliated with Tribhuvan University and approved by the University Grants Commission of Nepal. Its established date is recorded as 2065-09-11 BS.
Located in the central part of Kapilvastu district, the campus serves students of the surrounding municipality and nearby areas through bachelor’s and master’s level programs in Education and Management. Buddhabhumi Campus runs with a community-based character, local participation, and academic programs designed under Tribhuvan University rules and structures. It also maintains a minimal fee structure and provides scholarship support for students from different social and economic backgrounds.

Since its foundation, the campus has focused on extending access to higher education in Kapilvastu district by offering university-affiliated programs within a local setting.
The campus has received financial support and aid from Buddhabhumi Municipality, the University Grants Commission, the Ministry of Social Development Madhesh Province, and local citizens of Barkulpur and Kapilvastu district. This support reflects the campus’s community-linked character and its role in the educational development of the area.
Buddhabhumi Campus has two faculties:

Under these faculties, the campus offers academic programs at both bachelor’s and master’s levels. The Education stream supports students pursuing teaching and advanced study in education, while the Management stream serves students interested in business studies and higher-level management education.

Buddhabhumi Campus offers the following programs:

Offered under TU Faculty of Education, this is a four-year program under the annual examination system.
Master of Education (M.Ed.)
Offered under TU Faculty of Education, this is a two-year program completed in four semesters under the semester system.
Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS)
Offered under TU Faculty of Management, this is a four-year program under the annual examination system.
Master of Business Studies (MBS)
Offered under TU Faculty of Management, this is a two-year program completed in four semesters under the semester system.
The campus runs both annual and semester-based programs under Tribhuvan University.

The annual system applies to the bachelor’s level B.Ed. and BBS programs, while the semester system applies to the master’s level M.Ed. and MBS programs. Academic operations, examinations, and result processes follow the applicable rules of Tribhuvan University and the concerned faculties.
Buddhabhumi Campus provides scholarship facilities for needy and deserving students. The scholarship support is especially directed toward students from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Scholarships are provided for:
