The Bachelor of Arts (BA) at Khaptad Multiple Campus is a four-year bachelor’s degree affiliated with Tribhuvan University. The program is offered through the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and follows the four-year BA structure introduced by Tribhuvan University from the academic year 2076/077.

Khaptad Multiple Campus is a community campus located in Gauriganga Municipality-7, Masuriya, Kailali, Sudurpashchim Province. BA classes are conducted in the morning.

Course Overview

The BA is an interdisciplinary program that combines compulsory courses with major and elective subject choices. Tribhuvan University has structured the program across four academic years, with 500 marks assigned to each year.

Khaptad Multiple Campus offers the BA program with the following subject areas:

Course Duration and Academic Structure

The Bachelor of Arts is completed over four academic years. The complete program carries 2,000 marks, divided into 500 marks in each year.

Under the Tribhuvan University BA structure, students select two major subjects carrying 700 marks each. They also study two elective subjects carrying 100 marks each. In addition, the curriculum contains compulsory English, Nepali, and Nepal Studies courses.

The compulsory subject distribution includes:

• Compulsory English: 200 marks

• Compulsory Nepali: 100 marks

• Nepal Studies: 100 marks

English is compulsory in the first and third years, while Nepali is compulsory in the second year. The remaining academic workload consists of the selected major and elective subjects.

Eligibility

Applicants may qualify for admission through either of the following academic routes:

1. They have secured at least a D+ grade in every subject in Grade 11 and Grade 12.

2. They have completed Intermediate, Proficiency Certificate Level, or 10+2 in Humanities, Science, or Management from Tribhuvan University or another university or board recognized by Tribhuvan University.

Eligibility for some major subjects may depend on the applicant’s previous academic background. Students should select their major subjects according to the applicable Tribhuvan University requirements and the combinations available at Khaptad Multiple Campus.

Teaching and Assessment

The BA assessment structure combines written examinations with internal academic activities.

For each subject, the written examination carries 70 marks, while internal assessment carries 30 marks. Internal assessment activities include mini-projects, classroom presentations, and teamwork.

This assessment pattern requires students to complete written examinations while also participating in classroom-based academic work. Regular reading, assignment preparation, presentation practice, and participation in group activities form part of the learning process.

Khaptad Multiple Campus also has arrangements for regular class tests and internal examinations. Classes are conducted in the morning.
