B.Sc. Ag. Hons. at Madhesh Agricultural University
Interested students who have attained the minimum educational qualification required to study at the 4-year Bachelor of Agriculture (BSc Ag Hons) level in Madhesh Agricultural University, Rajbiraj, Saptari, under the Agriculture Faculty can apply online.
The applicant has to submit his educational qualification mark sheet and citizenship certificate along with the online application form. Applicants who want to apply under different quotas should attach the certificate or recommendation letter of the respective quotas and 1 (one) scan copy of passport size photograph of both ears taken recently. Applicants who have passed the certificate level from institutions other than Nepal must submit the complete Equivalency Certificate at the time of admission.
Online Application Process
The application form can be filled online only by the applicant at http://entrance.mau.edu.np. Documents and information included in the application will be disqualified if found to be false or insufficient.
Minimum educational qualification required
a) Candidates applying for admission must have passed at least Second Class or 'C' Grade in SEE or equivalent examination with ISc (Science, Agriculture, Animal, Forestry) or 10+2 Science or 10+2 (Agriculture or equivalent.
English, Mechanics, By studying chemistry, biology, and mathematics subjects, at least 50 (fifty percent) marks of the total marks should be passed with a 'C' or "C" CGPA/GPA 2.0 in aggregate if under Letter Grading System.
In case of doing it, if the mark of mathematics subject is mentioned in the Transcript, an additional mark sheet of mathematics subject should be created and uploaded. In the additional mark sheet, the percentage should be 50% and the letter grading should be 'C', GPA should be 2.4.
(b) If there is only the Class 12th Transcript and not the Aggregate Transcript of 10+2, the Class 12th Transcript will be considered as the basis. In case of Class 12 Transcript only, Mark Sheet of Class 11 must be uploaded as a PDF along with the same Transcript.
(c) If the application form is filled without eligibility, the application form will be considered ineligible and the applicant will not be included in the entrance test.
Question Paper and Entrance Examination Details
The entrance examination will contain 100 multiple-choice objective questions based on the certificate-level or 10+2 subjects listed below.

After the online application deadline, the Faculty of Agriculture at Madhesh Agricultural University, Rajbiraj, Saptari, will determine the entrance examination date and examination centre. The information will be published through: www.mau.edu.np
Basis of Admission and Publication of Results
The marks obtained in the entrance examination will carry 100% weight.
A merit-order list will be prepared based on the entrance examination marks, and the names of candidates selected for admission will be published.
The minimum pass mark for the entrance examination is 40%.
When two or more applicants obtain equal marks, the ranking will be determined based on the following criteria in sequence:

Total marks or CGPA obtained in I.Sc. or 10+2.

Marks obtained in Botany at the SEE/SLC level.

Marks obtained in Zoology at the SEE/SLC level.

Marks obtained in Chemistry at the SEE/SLC level.

Marks obtained in Physics at the SEE/SLC level.

Marks obtained in Mathematics at the SEE/SLC level.
Information concerning the results and merit-order list will also be published on the university’s website.
The decision made by the university, faculty, or admission committee will be final.
Classification of Merit and Reserved Quotas
The university has allocated 50 seats for applicants who pass the entrance examination.
The allocation includes 10 merit seats; reserved and local seats; and full-fee seats under the University Development Fund and College Development Fund quotas.

Conditions for Reserved Quotas
For the Madhesh Province quota, both the applicant’s permanent address and the community school where the applicant studied must be located within the same province. The applicant must submit a recommendation letter from the relevant metropolitan city, sub-metropolitan city, municipality, or rural municipality office in Madhesh Province.
Except for the female quota, applicants seeking admission under any other reserved quota must submit the required certificates or recommendation letters from the relevant authority in the prescribed format through the online application system.
Applications submitted without the required supporting documents will not be processed.
Admission under all quotas will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination and the applicant’s merit position.
Required Documents for Individual Quotas

Madhesh Province quota: A certificate verified by the relevant local level or District Administration Office under the Madhesh Province Government.

Dalit quota: A certificate verified by the National Dalit Commission and the relevant local level or District Administration Office.

Indigenous Nationalities and Tharu quota: A certificate showing that the applicant’s community is listed with the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities or the Tharu Commission, or a certificate verified by the District Administration Office.

Muslim quota: A certificate verified by the National Muslim Commission and the relevant local level or District Administration Office.

Economically disadvantaged Khas-Arya quota: A certificate verified by the relevant authority, local level, or District Administration Office.

Persons with Disabilities quota: A certificate verified by the Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens and the relevant local body.

Martyr’s family quota: A recommendation letter certified by the District Administration Office of the relevant district and the concerned ministry of the Government of Nepal, confirming the applicant’s relationship as the husband, wife, son, or daughter of the martyr.

Conflict-affected family quota: A recommendation letter certified by the District Administration Office of the relevant district and the concerned ministry of the Government of Nepal, confirming the applicant’s relationship as the husband, wife, son, or daughter of the conflict-affected person.

Staff quota: A copy of the citizenship certificate confirming the relationship between the concerned teacher or employee and the applicant as husband, wife, son, or daughter, along with a recommendation from the head of the employing institution.

Local quota: A recommendation letter confirming that the applicant is a local resident of Rajbiraj Municipality, where the college operated under the university’s Faculty of Agriculture is located.
