What students study
The first year introduces Mathematics, Fundamentals of Information Technology, Technical Communication, Basic Electrical Systems and Circuits, Principles of Management, Computer Programming, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Digital Logic, Object-Oriented Programming in C++, and Financial Management and Accounting.
Project I and Project II are included during this opening stage. In Project II, students work in groups to design small-scale software in C++. The process covers topic selection, requirements, algorithms, coding, implementation, documentation, report submission, and oral presentation.
The second year moves into System Analysis and Design, Microprocessor and Assembly Language, Data Structures and Algorithms, User Interface Design, Numerical Methods, Communication Systems, Computer Organization, Web Technology, Database Management Systems, Discrete Mathematics, and Marketing Management. Project III and Project IV continue the semester-wise development work.
Third-year subjects include Probability and Statistics, Society and Ethics in IT, Data Communication, Web Technology II, Computer Graphics, Operating Systems, Embedded System Programming, Computer Networks, Data Mining and Data Warehousing, Advanced Object-Oriented Programming, and Research Methodology.
Project V focuses on server-side web application development. Students work in small groups, submit a written report, and present the completed application. Project VI extends the work into software engineering practices, relational database systems, and object-oriented programming.
The final year covers Artificial Intelligence, Network Programming, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, E-commerce, Wireless Communication Systems, and Software Project Management. Students also choose electives from areas such as cloud computing, distributed processing, multimedia systems, geographical information systems, network security, e-governance, system administration, image processing, and algorithm design.
