Siddhartha Vidyamandir Boarding School in Taulihwa organized a cooking competition among its students from classes 6 to 9, with the objective of imparting practical knowledge and skills.
The competition was held in Boarding, where 12 groups demonstrated their culinary skills by cooking and presenting dishes such as pulao, paneer vegetables, pudding, curd, meat salad, chole bhuture, sewai rice, lalman, and others.
Gunakhar Gair, the principal of the school, stated that it was the first time the school had organized such an event. He said that the competition was intended to teach the students about teamwork, management, and skills that could be useful in their homes and towards culinary education.
The students themselves managed the necessary rental equipment and materials for the competition. Guests, including teachers and members of the community, tasted the dishes and provided their feedback.
UML Central Member Sadhika Siddiqui, UML District President Dammar Sharma, Senior Social Worker Tikaram Aryal, District President of Journalist Federation Kiranman Bajracharya, Former District President of Journalist Federation Bhesraj Pandey, and other teams watched and ate the food prepared by the students. UML District President Sharma commended the students for their efforts.
Principal Vikas Aryal stated that the winning team would be awarded by the school. He also mentioned that the school would conduct more practical and skill-oriented programs in the future.
The students participated enthusiastically in the program, and they seemed thrilled to be a part of such an event. The cooking competition served as an excellent opportunity for the students to showcase their culinary skills and creativity.Kapilvastu Exhibition
