Applications are open for Glocal Teen Hero Nepal 2021. Glocal Pvt. Ltd. has been organizing programs every year with the objective of honoring and promoting the work done by teenagers by showcasing their inspiration and enthusiasm and appreciating their effective work in society.
Launched in 2015 targeting teenagers in Kathmandu, the program has been expanded across Nepal since 2016. So far, six Nepali teenagers have been honored with the Glocal Teen Hero Award. Glocal Tin Hero has been awarded one each from India and Sri Lanka. Besides, 91 people have been honored so far by selecting 20 under the 20s, according to the organizers.
Glocal Pvt. Ltd. aims to promote Glocal Teen Hero among South Asian nations. Glocal Teen Hero Nepal will be organized virtually on September 1 this year. It has been informed that this program will be conducted in the presence of personalities from education, entrepreneurship, diplomacy, and various other fields.
From the first stage of opening the application, the announcement of Glocal Teen Hero Nepal will be conducted online. Teenagers with new thinking, ideas, and possibilities, and new dimensions of social change can fill the application free of cost.
In the first phase, the total number of applications will be announced on the basis of inter-negotiation and document review. The best 6 will then be selected based on the beginning and impact of their work, and in the final stage, 6 people will be interviewed to measure their personality criteria, domain knowledge, and vision, and the winner of 2021 will be announced.
Meanwhile, Glocal is also planning to organize Glocal International Teen Conference to understand the obstacles to national development and various issues of the world. According to the organizers, the program will be attended by teenagers from home and abroad.
The virtual conference will feature panel discussions on teenagers' experiences, ideas, and three separate topics: entrepreneurship, empowerment, and social perspectives. Teenagers wishing to participate in the program can fill out a free online application through https://nepal.glocalteenhero.com.
