
Kathmandu Skill Fair's Second Phase Sees Over 3,500 Applications
Kathmandu Metropolitan City has announced that over 3,500 individuals have applied for the second phase of its skill fair.
According to the metropolitan office, 3,576 people from 10 countries submitted online applications for training in 42 professions.
The second phase of the skill fair began last Wednesday and will run for 30 days.
Eight New Skill Training Courses Introduced
The metropolitan city has added training for eight new professions to the fair.
Five professions were previously selected in the ICT sector. With the additions, the total now stands at twelve.
The newly added professions include:

PHP

Graphics Design
Expansion in Technical and Creative Fields
In the technology sector, preparations were already in place to provide training in five areas:

Digital Marketing

Robotics

Fiber Optics Technician

Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications
A new profession, "Wig Making," has been added in the beauty sector.
Previously, the sector included four professions:

No New Areas Added to Other Training Fields
Engineer Shailendra Jha, coordinator of the skill fair committee under the metropolitan office, stated that no new fields have been added to the previously prepared 10 sectors and 34 related professions.
Free Training Through Collaboration
Kathmandu Metropolitan City plans to conduct these trainings free of cost.
The initiative is being carried out in collaboration with government bodies, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and donor agencies.
