14th Southwestern Science Exhibition Concludes

A two-day program related to the 14th “Southwestern Science Exhibition and Career in Management” concluded today, organized to promote innovation and research while adapting to modern technology.
In the two-day science exhibition organized by Southwestern College, exhibition stalls were set up by more than 60 schools and colleges related to science, management, innovation, and other fields.
Remarks at the Opening
Inaugurating the exhibition, Tokha Municipality Mayor Prakash Adhikari highly praised the college’s contribution to producing quality human resources and promoting inclusive education. He also expressed a commitment that the municipality will continue supporting the enhancement of students’ academic and professional competencies and their future-building.
College Principal Dr. Rajendra KC stated that innovation and independent thinking are necessary in today’s education. He expressed the belief that if students are made to face challenges and problems, they learn faster.
He added that the exhibition is a highly effective medium for helping students become self-reliant, competitive from local to international levels, and engaged in practical learning.
PABSON Kathmandu Central President Gopal Acharya said Southwestern College has been doing notable work for quality education, investment promotion, student upliftment, students’ bright future, and the development of innovation and creativity.
Southwestern Company Secretary Rajendra Lamichhane expressed confidence that it will support the overall education system and the economy.
Exhibition Coordinator Sarita Shakya Pradhan said the exhibition has provided students with opportunities to learn, showcase their talents, and become competitive.
Social Responsibility Programs
Under social responsibility, the following programs were organized during the exhibition:

Free health camp in collaboration with Greencity Hospital

Eye examination program with support from Kirtipur Eye Hospital

Dental check-up service in collaboration with Om Samaj Dental

Blood donation program in collaboration with Heads Nepal

Solar observation program in collaboration with the Astronomy and Astrophysics Club
The college stated that more than 25,000 visitors observed the exhibition.
