What is IMEI Number?

An International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number is a unique 15-digit code assigned to every mobile phone that uses a cellular network. The IMEI number is used to identify a specific mobile device and can be used to track the device if it is lost or stolen.

To find the IMEI number of a mobile phone, you can typically look in the device's settings or check the back of the phone for a label with the IMEI number. On an iPhone, you can find the IMEI number by going to the "Settings" app, selecting "General," and then selecting "About." On an Android device, you can find the IMEI number by going to "Settings," selecting "About phone," and then selecting "Status."

The IMEI number is important for a number of reasons. For example, mobile phone carriers use it to identify and authenticate devices that are connected to their network. In some cases, a mobile phone carrier may block a device from accessing the network if it has an IMEI number that is associated with a stolen or lost device. Additionally, law enforcement agencies may use the IMEI number to track and locate a stolen or lost device.

What is Mobile Device Management System (MDMS)?

A Mobile Device Management System (MDMS) is a software tool that is used to manage and secure the use of mobile devices within an organization. MDMS is typically used to manage large fleets of mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, that are used by employees in the workplace. MDMS is an important tool for organizations that use mobile devices to support their operations, as it helps to ensure the security and compliance of these devices, while also enabling employees to be productive and efficient.
