Government Decided to Close Schools in Urban Areas Till End of Baishakh:
The government has decided to close schools in urban areas. A cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar on Monday morning decided to close schools in urban areas.
The cabinet has decided to close the school as per the recommendation of Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC). The Council of Ministers has decided to operate virtual classrooms in all schools in urban areas.
Stakeholders have been saying that the school should not be closed despite the recent increase in corona infection. A new order on Covid-19 passed by the cabinet has called for the closure of physical classes in urban schools (City Areas).
Similarly, the Council of Ministers has decided to close crowded areas including night businesses, cinema halls, party palaces, gyms, and stadiums till the end of the month of Baishakh 2078 (till 14th May 2021).
