Nepal Police Orders 11 Absent Personnel to Report Within Seven Days, Warns of Removal from Service

Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, through its Law and Human Rights Division, has directed 11 police personnel who have remained absent from duty without authorization to report to their respective offices and provide explanations for their absence.

The headquarters issued a public notice on Kartik 10, 2083 BS, instructing the concerned personnel to report within seven days, excluding the time allowed for travel.

According to the notice, the personnel failed to establish contact despite search efforts and the completion of the notice-posting procedure prescribed under Rule 115(2) of the Police Regulations, 2071 BS (as amended).

The headquarters has warned that personnel who fail to appear within the specified period with satisfactory explanations for their absence will face removal from service under Rule 109(b)(1) for the misconduct specified in Rule 113(1)(f) of the Police Regulations, 2071 BS.

The headquarters stated that this collective public notice provides the concerned personnel an opportunity to present their defense before disciplinary action is taken.
