Nepal Police Directs 11 Absent Personnel to Report Within Seven Days
The Nepal Police Headquarters in Naxal, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of Nepal, has issued a notice directing 11 police personnel who have remained absent without authorization to report to their respective offices.
The notice was issued by the Legal Section of the Law and Human Rights Division under the Secretariat of the Inspector General of Police on 2083/04/11. The personnel have been instructed to report with written explanations within seven days, excluding the permitted travel period.
According to the notice, the listed police personnel have remained absent from their offices without authorization since different dates. The Nepal Police Headquarters stated that they did not contact their offices even after searches were conducted and notices were posted after completing the procedure prescribed under Rule 115(2) of the Police Regulations, 2071, as amended.
The absent personnel have been instructed to report to the Police Headquarters or the respective office that issued the notice, along with satisfactory written explanations stating the reasons for their absence.
The notice warns that personnel who fail to make contact within the specified period will face removal from service under Rule 109(b)(1) for the offence specified in Rule 113(1)(f) of the Police Regulations, 2071, as amended.
Through this collective notice, they have also been provided an opportunity to present their defence for the purpose of Part 4 of Schedule 14 of the Police Regulations.
