Nepal Police Directs 12 Absent Personnel to Report Within 7 Days
Kathmandu — Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal, has directed 12 police personnel who have been absent from office without authorization to come into contact.
The Secretariat of the Inspector General of Police, Law and Human Rights Division, Law Section, published a notice on 2083/03/10 BS, informing them to report within seven days, excluding travel time, with a satisfactory explanation.
According to the notice, searches were conducted for the absent personnel, and even after the process was completed and notices were posted pursuant to Rule 115, Sub-rule (2) of the Police Regulations, 2071 BS, as amended, they did not come into contact with the office.
The notice warns that if they do not report within the prescribed deadline, action will be taken to remove them from service under Rule 109, Clause (b)(1) of the same regulations for the offense under Rule 113, Sub-rule (1), Clause (f) of the Police Regulations, 2071 BS, as amended.
The office stated that, through this collective notice, they have been provided an opportunity to submit their defense for the purpose of Part 4 of Schedule 14.
