Nepal's 2081/82 Fiscal Year Budget Overview

The government of Nepal has announced a budget of 18 trillion 60 billion 30 million rupees for the upcoming fiscal year 2081/82. Finance Minister Barshman Pun presented this budget in a joint session of the Parliament. This represents a 6.2% increase from the current fiscal year and a 21.56% increase from the revised budget. The previous year's budget was 17 trillion 51 billion 31 million rupees.

The government will transfer 4 trillion 8 billion 27 million rupees to state and local levels, consistent with the previous year’s transfer amount.

    • Target: 3 trillion 30 billion rupees
