Application Notice for General Manager – Rastriya Samachar Samiti, Issued by the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology.

Applications are invited for the position of General Manager at Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) for recommendation and appointment. Qualified Nepali citizens are requested to apply as per the following criteria:

Eligibility Criteria

Must be at least 30 years old and not older than 65 by the last date of application submission.
Must have passed at least a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Must have worked as Editor-in-Chief, Editor, Publisher, or Manager in a legally registered media outlet or have experience in academic or policy-making levels in mass communication, or a minimum of seven years of experience in journalism and media.
For those currently employed or retired from any government service or public institution, the applicant must have served in at least an officer-level position.
Must not have been penalized under the Journalist Code of Conduct.
Must not be disqualified for appointment under prevailing Nepali laws.

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following along with the application:

Application form for the designated position
Personal bio-data including qualifications and experience
Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate
Copies of academic certificates (including equivalency certificate for foreign degrees)
Work experience certificates clearly stating service duration
A sealed professional work plan of up to five pages, prepared in Nepali language on A4 paper, computer-typed, with the applicant’s name on the top of the first (cover) page, signature on the back of every page, and no identifiers (name/symbols) elsewhere
Self-declaration confirming no permanent residency permit in any foreign country
Copies of any additional documents related to the position

Additional Conditions

All academic and experience certificates must be self-attested.
The last date to apply is the 15th day from the date of this notice. If that day falls on a public holiday, the application will be accepted on the next working day within office hours.
Application submission location: Institution Coordination Section, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Singha Durbar.
Selection will be based on evaluation of the submitted professional work plan, presentation, and interview performance.
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
