B.Ed. Course Structure

Communication Skills consists of General Nepali and General English. The Professional Core Areas include Philosophical and Sociological Foundations of Education, Educational Psychology, and Curriculum and Evaluation.
Students also select one elective professional course from Instructional Technology, ICT in Education, or ICT in a Specialized Subject. The fourth year includes the teaching internship or practicum carrying 100 marks.

Eligibility for Admission
Applicants must have completed Higher Secondary Education, Grade 12, the Tribhuvan University Proficiency Certificate Level, or an equivalent qualification.
Additional requirements depend on the chosen major specialization:

English Education requires a background in English or Linguistics, at least 50 percent in General English, or 50 percent in the entrance examination conducted by the respective campus department.

Science Education requires Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with each subject carrying at least 100 full marks.

Geography Education, Economics Education, Political Science Education, and History Education accept Grade 12, PCL, or equivalent qualifications from any faculty.
Health and Physical Education and Population Education have separate subject-background conditions. Minor specializations, except Biological Science, are generally open regardless of the subjects studied in Grade 11 and Grade 12 or at the PCL level.
Teaching and Academic Focus
