Nepal to Celebrate World Yoga Day in Schools on June 21

The Government of Nepal has announced the celebration of World Yoga Day at the school level on Ashad 7 (June 21). This decision was made in a meeting of the main ceremony committee, chaired by Education, Science, and Technology Minister Sumana Shrestha. The theme for this year's celebration is 'Yoga for Women Empowerment'.

Government's Initiative

The Secretariat of Minister Shrestha stated that the Education Development and Coordination Unit will request schools to observe Yoga Day. Additionally, there will be efforts to promote Yoga Day celebrations at the provincial and local levels through correspondence and coordination.
