Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality

Aathrai Tribeni Rural Municipality (Nepali: आठराई त्रिवेणी गाउँपालिका, ताप्लेजुङ) is a picturesque village situated in the southwestern part of Taplejung District, Koshi Province, within the Mechi Zone of eastern Nepal. In 2017 AD, the Federal Ministry of Local Affairs and Local Development implemented the 744 local level to form the Aathrai Tribeni Gaupalika, comprising the Phulbari, Nighuradeen, Change, and Hangpang Village Development Committees in the Taplejung district. The headquarters of this Gaupalika is located in Hangpang, Taplejung district of Nepal.

The total area of ​​this Gaupalika is 88.83 sq km. This Rural Municipality is divided into five wards. The total population of this Rural Municipality is 13784. To the east of the Aathrai Rural Municipality border lies Yangwarak Rural Municipality and Panchthar District; Maiwakhola Rural Municipality is located to the west; Phungling Municipality is to the north; and it extends south to the district of Terathum.
