17 Nepal Police Staff Missing Contact; Face Dismissal
Nepal Police Headquarters has issued a final notice to 17 police personnel who have been absent without leave for a long time, instructing them to report for duty. The Headquarters stated that a public notice was published today asking them to appear with a satisfactory written clarification.

According to Nepal Police Headquarters, Naxal (Legal Division), these personnel have remained absent from their respective postings without permission. Despite conducting searches and completing the process under Rule 115, Sub-rule (2) of the Police Regulation, 2071 (with amendments), they did not come into contact with the office.
They have been instructed to report within seven (7) days from the date of publication of the notice—excluding travel time—by stating the reason for their absence and submitting a satisfactory clarification. The Headquarters stated that if they fail to report within the specified time, action will be initiated to remove them from service under Rule 109, Clause (b)(1), based on the offense under Rule 113, Sub-rule (1), Clause (c) of the Police Regulation, 2071 (with amendments).
It has also been informed that this notice should be understood as an opportunity for clarification for the purpose of Part 4 of Schedule 14 of the Police Regulation.
