Netherlands and Senegal in FIFA 2022

On Monday (21 November) the second day of the FIFA World Cup, the Netherlands started with a win. The Netherlands defeated Senegal 2-0 in Group-A. Cody Jakpo and Davy Klaasen scored a goal each for the Netherlands. Senegal's team performed brilliantly in the match, but could not score a single goal.

For the first time in the World Cup 2022, an equal match was played. In this match, the 2010 World Cup runner-up team Netherlands and the African champion Senegal team were face to face. The Netherlands defeated Senegal 2–0 in this match. For that Cody Jakpo and Davy Klaasen scored one goal each.

Senegal held the lead throughout the match, but the Netherlands eventually prevailed. The first half ended in a 0-0 draw. The match looked set to end in a draw after 83 minutes in the second half, but Dutch player of the year Cody Jakpo gave the team a 1-0 lead in the 84th minute with a superb header. Davy Klaasen scored in injury time (90+9th) to give the team a decisive 2-0 lead.

With this defeat, Senegal's streak of upsets in their opening matches of the 2002 and 2018 World Cups was broken. Senegal defeated defending champions France 1–0 in 2002 and Poland 2–1 in 2018. With this, the Netherlands' streak of remaining undefeated in group matches for 28 years also remained intact.

Cody Jakpo scored the first goal of the match for the Netherlands in the 84th minute. He pounced on Frankie de Jong's pass to head the ball into the post. When the Netherlands needed a goal the most, it's Player of the Year did wonders with a header.

The Netherlands started with a win on the second day of the FIFA World Cup. He won 2-0 in the match played against Senegal in Group-A. Cody Jakpo and Davy Klaasen scored a goal each for the Netherlands. These goals were scored in the 84th and extra time. Senegal's team fought hard but in the last minutes, their defensive wall was broken, which the Netherlands took advantage of.
