TU Office of the Rector, Research Directorate, Call for Research Papers

I am pleased to inform you that Research Directorate, Rector’s Office, Tribhuvan University, is publishing the TU Journal: Volume 40, No-2, December, 2025. I would request all the interested TU teachers and staff to submit their manuscripts to the journal by September 17, 2025.

About Tribhuvan University Journal

Tribhuvan University Journal of Nepal (TUJ) is a blind peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal published in two issues each year. TUJ publishes scientific research papers on all subjects of four faculties and five institutes. TUJ is indexed in NepJOL (http://www.nepjol.info/index.php/TUJ). These issues of TUJ welcome research-based articles from all TU faculties, researchers, and academicians.

The manuscript should clearly describe the methods and research procedures used, present a description of the evidence, cite data and relevant facts, and scientific procedures, and coherently discuss arguments and results. The paper must be embedded in the current national or international academic debates; refer to the most recent academic literature on the issues discussed, and be presented in a structured and comprehensible manner.

Peer Review Process

The Editorial Board will check the manuscripts based on the guidelines for preparing research articles provided to the authors, whether the submitted manuscript is appropriate for the journal or not. The chief editor will assign the article to a reviewer corresponding to the expertise of the reviewer.

Based on the double-blind peer review principle, the article is sent to two reviewers. The reviewers are given two weeks for reviewing the article based on review guidelines given to them. Double-blind peer review is applied for the article submitted by the author within the country. Reviewed papers are sent to the authors to incorporate all comments and suggestions given by both reviewers.

Once the author submits the corrected paper addressing the reviewers’ comments, it will be sent to the corresponding reviewers again to decide whether the manuscript has potential for acceptance. Authors should incorporate all questions or should defend (clarify) reviewers’ comments. However, the final decision to accept the paper for publication is taken by the chief editor.

Authors Guidelines

Authors are kindly requested to check the final papers thoroughly before submitting to ensure that you have fulfilled all requirements mentioned in TU Journal Policy, Authors Guidelines and Authors’ self-evaluation indicator attached with this call. Authors’ self-evaluation indicator must be fulfilled.

Also, thoroughly review the article for the coherence of language and grammatical correctness before submitting it. Manuscripts should be in Times New Roman character typed double-spaced with 1.5 cm margins on all sides of the A4 paper. In Nepali Language, Kokila Unicode should be used.

The manuscript should use text title (12 pt.) in uppercase and subtitle (12 pt.) and text (12 pt.) and table and figure caption (11 pt.) in sentence case with an initial capital letter for any proper noun. The numbering of titles and subtitles is not allowed.

The formal style of citation in the text and list of references should be based on an example given in TUJ policy and Author Guidelines. Entries of the references should be in alphabetical and chronological order of authors (DOI preferred). The number of references should not be less than twenty.

The cover page must contain:
