SpaceX Transporter-15 Rideshare Mission Launched

The American private space company SpaceX launched its new “rideshare” mission toward space on Friday, 28th November 2025. A “rideshare” mission sends many small satellites or instruments into space at the same time using a single rocket.

In this type of mission, small satellites from different companies, institutions, and research groups (such as CubeSats, MicroSats, or other scientific instruments) are placed on one rocket. This allows many instruments to reach space in one launch and helps reduce overall costs.

As a result, it becomes easier to run small, low-cost missions in an effective way. According to SpaceX, this mission, named “Transporter-15,” was launched by a Falcon 9 rocket from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 10:44 a.m. local time.

SpaceX stated that the mission carried a total of 140 payloads (satellites and other instruments), including CubeSats, MicroSats, hosted payloads, and small vehicles used to transfer objects between orbits. Among these, 13 payloads will later be sent into separate orbits.

According to SpaceX on the social network “X,” through its rideshare program, combining missions already completed and those currently operating, more than 1,400 payloads have now been successfully placed into orbit.
