HELVETAS NEPAL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Enhanced Skills for Sustainable and Rewarding Employment (ENSSURE), a bilateral initiative of the Governments of Nepal and Switzerland, supports Nepalese youths, women, and men in gaining social and economic benefits from a federalized TVET system.
Ultimately, the project has been supporting three spheres of government to deliver TVET functions as per their constitutional mandate.
Helvetas Nepal invites applications from committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following position:
1. Position: Component Manager – Work-Based Learning (1)
Job Purpose:
The Component Manager – Work-Based Learning (WBL) will provide strategic and technical leadership for the implementation, scaling, and institutionalization of work-based training across project provinces.
The role involves working with a wide range of stakeholders, including government bodies, employer associations, and training providers, to integrate WBL into Nepal's national TVET system.
The incumbent will work as a focal person for Work-Based Learning, manage partnerships, and support policy and capacity development to ensure the sustainability of WBL models.
Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence

Master’s degree in Education, TVET, Economics, Development Studies, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role in TVET or youth employment programs.

Proven experience in implementing and scaling work-based learning or employer engagement initiatives.

Strong understanding of Nepal's TVET system, labor market dynamics, and policy environment.

Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage partnerships, and influence policy processes.

Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.
Duty station: ENSSURE PSU in CTEVT Bhaktapur, with about 50% of field travel to project sites.
2. Position: Finance and Administrative Officer (1)
Job Purpose:
The Finance and Administrative Officer (FAO) ensures proper implementation of the financial management system of the province office as per related policy manuals.
Duties include procurement and logistics management of the provincial office, supporting the province manager in human resource management, and providing backstopping support to provinces and local governments in training procurement and fiduciary risk management.
Required Education, Experience, and Social Competence

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Commerce with 3 years of working experience in a similar role.

Prior experience in public finance mechanisms and management will be an added advantage.

Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction is a must.
Duty station: Lumbini Province, Dang, about 30% of field travel to project sites.
Duration: Till 15 July 2026 with the possibility of extension.
Salary and Benefits: As per rules and regulations of Helvetas Nepal.
