(b) The date of the Written Examination (Subject-Specific) will be fixed when the result of the General Examination is published.

(c) The date, time, and venue of the Interview will be fixed when the result of the Subject-Specific Examination is published.

Examination Centers

The examination will be conducted in the following districts: Morang (Koshi Province), Dhanusha (Madhesh Province), Makwanpur (Bagmati Province), Kaski (Gandaki Province), Dang (Lumbini Province), Surkhet (Karnali Province), and Kailali (Sudurpashchim Province).

Based on the number of examinees, the Commission may also determine examination centers in other districts. Further details will be published later on the Commission’s website.

Age Limit

By the last date of application submission, the candidate must have completed 18 years of age (only those born up to 2064/11/03) and must not have exceeded 40 years.

However, this age limit will not apply to currently serving permanent teachers.

Mode of Application Submission

Applications must be submitted through the online application system for the advertised post. By clicking the Commission’s official website https://online.tsc.gov.np/, candidates can submit the online application form. Detailed instructions regarding the submission process can be viewed in the user manual available on the Commission’s online portal.

Bank and Method for Paying the Application Fee

The form must be submitted through the Commission’s online application system. Before submitting the form, confirm once whether any information is missing or any document has not been included.

After confirmation, click on the submitted application details. Since no details can be changed after payment of the application fee, verify all details accordingly.

Then, under the advertisement you have applied for, click on “Click here to pay the fee.” In the bank option, select either Rastriya Banijya Bank or Nepal Bank Limited. After selecting the bank, click on “Get Voucher.” Print the voucher and visit the concerned bank with the voucher to deposit the specified amount.

For online payment, after generating the voucher, click on “Pay Online” on that page. From the available payment options on the portal, select and click the logo of any one option.

Then proceed to pay the amount. Enter the username and password of the selected digital wallet and deposit the specified amount through online payment. 

Only after verifying that the payment has been deposited and the payment verification is completed will the application be confirmed as submitted.

To view and print the admit card, the Commission will publish a notice after the application deadline ends. For this purpose, keep your email, candidate code number, and password safely.

The applicant must make payment only through the payment method included in their profile by logging into the Teacher Service Commission’s online application system.

Time Period for Paying the Application Fee

For applications submitted by the last date (up to 11:59 PM on 2082/11/07), the voucher generated from the Revenue Information System must be printed and the fee mentioned in the voucher must be mandatorily paid at the bank within banking hours on the next day, 2082/11/08.

For applications submitted with double fee (up to 11:59 PM on 2082/11/10), the voucher generated from the Revenue Information System must be printed and the fee mentioned in the voucher must be mandatorily paid at the bank within banking hours on the next day, 2082/11/11.

However, if that day (2082/11/08 and 2082/11/11) falls on a public holiday (federal/Nepal-wide), payment may be made on the next day the office opens.

Minimum Required Qualifications

(a) Nepali citizen.

(b) Not disqualified under Rule 10 of the Teacher Service Commission Regulations (with amendments), 2057.

(c) Having passed a Bachelor’s level or equivalent examination (minimum 300 marks or 12 credit hours) in the relevant subject from a recognized educational institution, and having completed at least a 10-month training in Education.

However, for English, Mathematics, Science, Office Operation and Accounting, and Computer Science, candidates who have passed the Bachelor’s level as per this advertisement may be eligible for the teacher post even if they have not taken the training.

(d) Under Social Studies, candidates who have passed a Bachelor’s degree in Social Studies under the Faculty of Education, or candidates who have passed a Bachelor’s degree taking subjects such as Economics, History, Rural Development, Geography, Civics, Political Science, Philosophy, Ethics, Psychology, Anthropology, Environmental Education, Health Education, Physical Education, Culture, Sociology, Population Education, and Health and Physical Education may be eligible.

(e) Holding a permanent teaching license for secondary level.

(f) Candidates will not be eligible to apply for a teacher post of the same level.

For the purpose of Sub-section (3) of Section 39 of the Education (Eighth Amendment) Act, 2028, this advertisement shall be considered the first advertisement.

Documents to be Uploaded

Citizenship certificate, recently taken photograph, signature specimen, transcript/marksheet of minimum qualification, training certificate, and equivalence certificate (in case of study from a foreign educational institution) must be scanned and uploaded in jpeg/jpg format (maximum 200 KB) in the place specified by the online application system.

The candidate shall be fully responsible for the details mentioned in the application and the documents submitted. If the mentioned details and documents are found to be false, or if the prescribed documents are not submitted, such application will be cancelled at any time.

Additional Documents Required From Inclusive Group Candidates

(a) For Indigenous/Janajati: For castes listed under the Nepal Indigenous Nationalities Upliftment National Foundation Act, 2058, verification shall be based on that list. If there are multiple surnames within the listed caste, a document certified by the Chief District Officer, based on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level, confirming that the surname belongs to the listed caste must be submitted.

(b) For Madhesi, Indigenous/Janajati, Dalit, Backward Class, or Minority Muslim community residing in Tarai-Madhesh: A certificate issued by the institution designated by the Government of Nepal through publication in the Nepal Gazette, confirming the candidate belongs to the specified group. If such institution has not been designated, a document certified by the Chief District Officer, based on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level, confirming that the candidate belongs to the specified group residing in Tarai-Madhesh must be submitted.

(c) For Dalit: For castes listed by the National Dalit Commission, verification shall be based on that list. If there are multiple surnames within the listed caste, a document certified by the Chief District Officer, based on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level, confirming that the surname belongs to the listed caste must be submitted.

(d) For Disability: A verified identity card showing the classification of disability issued by the Social Welfare Council or the concerned local level.

(e) For Backward Area: Citizenship certificate mentioning permanent residence in Achham, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Jumla, Dolpa, Bajhang, Bajura, Mugu, and Humla districts, and a document certified by the concerned local level confirming permanent residence at the same place up to the time of application submission.

Additional Information Related to the Advertisement

(a) Competition and selection under this advertisement will be conducted at the provincial level.

(b) Since the written examination will be conducted in all provinces on the same day and at the same time, a candidate can submit an application form for only one province and one subject. If the application is rejected due to failure to follow this provision, the candidate shall be solely responsible.

(c) Candidates for open and inclusive groups will be selected through the same examination.

(d) A person applying under Indigenous/Janajati, Madhesi, Indigenous/Janajati, Dalit, Backward Class, Minority Muslim, or Dalit group may compete only as a candidate of one community. However, this provision will not apply in the case of women.

(e) Regarding the medium of examination, language subjects will be conducted in the respective language, and for other subjects the medium will be English or Nepali.

(f) The double-fee period will not be counted for the purpose of age, educational qualification, and training.

(g) Applications not submitted within the deadline set by the Commission, or those that do not meet the minimum qualifications, or those without required details, or those without payment of prescribed fees, or otherwise incomplete, or containing any conditions, will not be accepted.

(h) If it comes to notice that any candidate has submitted false details (documents), the application of such candidate will be cancelled at any time and action will be taken as per prevailing laws.

(i) If a candidate with disability who cannot write by themselves (blind, class “Ga” low vision, and both hands non-functional) requests an assistant writer, the Education Development and Coordination Unit of the district where the examination center is located may permit a person with at least one level below the minimum required qualification for the concerned level as an assistant writer. However, a person who has passed certificate level or equivalent in the Education subject shall not be allowed as an assistant writer. Such assistant writer must have passed the prescribed level only one year earlier.

(j) For educational qualifications from foreign educational institutions, equivalence must be determined.

(k) If any candidate has passed a separate examination with 300 full marks in another subject while passing Bachelor’s or Master’s level in a different subject, such candidates may also be eligible for the advertised relevant subject.

(l) Only candidates who pass the Written Examination (General) will be allowed to participate in the subject-specific examination.

(m) In the advertisement published by the Teacher Service Commission on 2081/09/28 for Secondary Level, Third Class teacher posts, the posts for which suitable candidates could not be made available as per the provision mentioned in Rule 115 (Ka) of the Teacher Service Commission Regulations, 2057 have been included in this advertisement by indicating them with the star (*) symbol based on the seat numbers received from the Education and Human Resource Development Center. Also, as per the order of the Honorable Supreme Court, the open category demand post number for Mathematics in Koshi Province has been increased by 2 and published in this advertisement by indicating it with the hash (#) symbol.

(n) Candidates must compulsorily use black ink in the examination. Otherwise, the answer book will be cancelled.
