Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) at Krishna Baijanath Multiple Campus
The Bachelor of Education at Krishna Baijanath Multiple Campus is a four-year undergraduate program affiliated with Tribhuvan University under the Faculty of Education. The campus has conducted the B.Ed. program since 2069 BS at Shuklaphanta Municipality-10, Jhalari, Kanchanpur.
The program follows the annual examination system. It combines academic study with professional preparation for teaching and is structured to develop knowledge in two subject areas: one specialization major and one specialization minor. The Tribhuvan University curriculum is designed to prepare graduates to teach two subjects at the secondary level.

B.Ed. course structure
Students must complete 22 courses carrying a total of 2,200 marks. The curriculum is divided into communication skills, professional core subjects, specialization-major courses, specialization-minor courses, and teaching internship or practicum.

The first and second years each carry 600 marks, while the third and fourth years each carry 500 marks. General Nepali and General English form the communication component. Professional core study includes Philosophical and Sociological Foundations of Education, Educational Psychology, Curriculum and Evaluation, and an elective related to instructional technology or information and communication technology.
Major and minor study
Within the Tribhuvan University framework, specialization-major areas include Nepali Language Education, English Language Education, Mathematics Education, Science Education, Health and Physical Education, Population Education, Geography Education, Economics Education, History Education, and Political Science Education.
Students must select a minor area different from their major. The curriculum includes minor options in language, mathematics, science, health, physical education, population, geography, economics, history, and political science education. Students majoring in physical science are required to select biological science as their minor area.
Eligibility
Applicants who have passed Grade 12, Higher Secondary Education, the Tribhuvan University Proficiency Certificate Level, or an equivalent qualification are eligible to apply.
Additional requirements apply according to the selected major. Nepali Education requires prior study of Nepali as a major subject carrying at least 200 marks. Mathematics Education requires mathematics as a major subject carrying at least 200 marks. Science Education requires previous study of physics, chemistry, and biology, with each subject carrying at least 100 full marks.
English Education applicants must meet the prescribed English or linguistics background, General English marks, or departmental entrance requirement. Other specialization areas also carry subject-related conditions under the TU curriculum.
Teaching practicum and learning environment
Teaching internship or practicum is a compulsory fourth-year component carrying 100 marks. It allows students to connect educational theory, subject knowledge, lesson preparation, and classroom practice.
At Krishna Baijanath Multiple Campus, selected classrooms have multimedia projectors for presentation-based teaching. Students also have access to a computer room, internet services, and a library with 7,602 books, academic journals, newspapers, periodicals, and a separate study room. The campus also conducts orientations, seminars, workshops, interaction programs, and special coaching classes according to student demand.
B.Ed. graduates may continue to the Master of Education, subject to the specialization and admission requirements prescribed by Tribhuvan University. Krishna Baijanath Multiple Campus has conducted the M.Ed. program since 2079 BS.
