English Education: HSE, Grade 12, or PCL with English or Linguistics major; or 50% marks in General English; or 50% marks in the entrance examination conducted by the respective department
Mathematics Education: HSE, Grade 12, or PCL with Mathematics major containing at least 200 marks
Science Education: HSE, Grade 12, or PCL with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with at least 100 full marks in each subject
Health and Physical Education: HSE, Grade 12, or PCL with Health and Physical Education, Science, Population, Home Science, Nursing, or related subjects, with a physical fitness-related entrance test for applicants without a health and physical education background

For minor subjects, most areas are open regardless of previous Grade 11, Grade 12, or PCL study background. Science Education minor in Biology is linked with Physical Science major students.
Teaching internship or practicum is included as a separate course component. It carries 100 full marks in the fourth year. This component connects education study with classroom-based practice and subject teaching preparation.
