First-ever 'Tikapur Literary Festival' Kick Off in Kailali
The Tikapur Literary Festival is set to kick off on Saturday, 8th April 2023, in Tikapur of Kailali, organized by the Tikapur Sahitya Samaj. The three-day festival will focus on various themes such as art, literature, education, development, society, and politics.
Exciting Sessions to discuss literature and society
During the festival, 20 sessions will be held at Siddharth Hotel, Tikapur, covering diverse topics related to literature and society. The Tikapur Literary Society President, Maheshvikram Shah, has confirmed the participation of facilitators and debaters.
Keynote speakers and presentations
The opening session of the festival will feature a presentation on 'Social Harmony' by the renowned writer and analyst, Dr. Sike Lal. The Tikapur literature festival is an annual event where famous writers, journalists, and others from all over the country participate.
Awards to be presented in three categories
At the opening session of the festival, awards will be presented in three categories. The 'Khadg Smriti National Honor Award, 2078,' worth one lakh rupees, will be awarded to Thomas Varghese and Mary Varghese. The 'Tikapur Sahitya Samaj Pratibha Award' worth Rs 50,000 will be presented to the singer Anu Chaudhary, and the 'Tikapur Sahitya Samaj Jehendar Vidyarthi Puraskar,' worth Rs. 25,000, will be awarded to Pravesh Rawal, a student of Ganesh Baba Boarding School.
Local writer expresses happiness
Local writer Kantiprasad Gyawali expressed his happiness and emphasized that the program is organized to introduce Tikapur and promote social harmony through literature.
Fun Activities in addition to the Festival
Apart from the festival, arrangements have been made for rafting on the Karnali River, from Chisapani to Tikapur Udyan, making it an exciting opportunity for participants to enjoy the natural beauty of the region.
