International Art Exhibition Begins in Kathmandu
An international art exhibition has commenced on Sunday with the collaboration of the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts and the Art Project International, Jitu Jinja Gallery Jitu, Japan, and the organization of Bindu Space for Artists.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Chancellor Naradmani Hartamchhali of the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts. He stated that art is a universal language and highlighted that painting exhibitions serve as an effective medium for cultural exchange. Through such artworks, distinct identities and cultures are expressed, and messages of peace and harmony are conveyed.
Remarks from Distinguished Participants
Former Chancellor of the Academy, Kiran Manandhar, remarked that organizing such art exhibitions in collaboration with friendly nations is highly commendable. He expressed the view that, like science and technology, art is also making significant progress.
Head of the Contemporary Painting Department at the Academy, Saurganga Darshandhari, stated that such exhibitions help observers better understand various dimensions and diverse aspects of art from different countries.
Director of Art Project International Jitu Jinja Gallery Jitu, Japan, Tamaki Kano, expressed happiness at being able to hold this type of exhibition in Nepal. He noted that this edition of the exhibition has also included children.
Curator of the exhibition and Director of Bindu Space for Artists, Prithvi Shrestha, extended gratitude to all participating artists and supporters.
