The National Sports Council (NSC) has organized training for the first time to enhance the capacity of volunteer coaches of various sports. The training capacity-building program under the management of the Department of Training and Training under the National Sports Council started on Thursday at the International Sports Complex at Satdobato.
The training was inaugurated by National Sports Council Member Secretary Tank Lal Ghising. Secretary of the High-Performance Committee Himal Raj Dahal informed that 33 volunteer coaches of 12 different sports are participating in the training.
Rita Prajapati will impart training on Strength and Conditioning, Sulochana Sijakhwa on Psychology, Hira Pant on Training methods, Dr. Gyanendra Shah on Sports Medicine and Anti-Doping, and Himal Raj Dahal on DTP and Age Group Training.
Addressing the program, Member Secretary Ghising said that the training was organized for the first time to make the volunteer trainers feel that Rakhep gives the same importance as other trainers.
Arjun BK, director of the training department, said that the purpose of the training was to provide opportunities to the volunteer trainers as well. He also expressed confidence that the training would help in raising the standard of volunteer trainers. The training will be completed on Sunday.Sports Training
