NSJF Pulsar Sports Award 2081 to Be Held in Pokhara
The prestigious NSJF Pulsar Sports Award 2081 will be organized on Bhadra 29 in Pokhara.
This is the 22nd edition of the award program organized annually by the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF), and for the first time, it is being held outside Kathmandu.
Sponsorship Agreement Signed
On Friday, NSJF and the main sponsor Golchha Group signed a sponsorship agreement for this year’s award ceremony.
The agreement was signed by NSJF President Niranjan Adhikari and Golchha Group Executive Director Abhimanyu Golchha.
Golchha Group, which has been the main sponsor for the past 17 years, has extended its support with a new five-year agreement. As per the deal, Golchha Group will contribute sponsorship worth NPR 4 million, combining cash and goods.
Purpose Behind Hosting in Pokhara
President Niranjan Adhikari shared that, as Nepali sports continue to expand nationwide, the event is being hosted in the tourism capital Pokhara to promote national reach.
The idea of hosting the ceremony outside Kathmandu had been in consideration for several years. Discussions with various cities were held, and with Pokhara celebrating Visit Year 2025 and offering favorable conditions, this year’s award was finalized to be held there.
