Rajarshi Janak University will organize its first-ever convocation ceremony on Jestha 27 at the Mahendranarayan Nidhi Mithila Cultural Center in Janakpurdham.

During the event scheduled for Tuesday, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who also serves as the Chancellor of the University, will confer degrees to graduates of bachelor’s and master’s programs.

Committees Formed for Organizing the Event

To ensure the convocation is well-managed and memorable, a 15-member central committee has been formed under the coordination of Registrar Satyanarayan Sah.

The committee includes deans, exam controllers, assistant controllers, and administrative staff. Additionally, 16 subcommittees have been formed, involving professors, staff, and students.

115 Graduates to Be Conferred Degrees

According to the Central Examination and Records Office, a total of 115 students from three different graduating batches will be awarded degrees during the convocation.

Students who have passed their programs and collected their transcripts by Jestha 5, 2082, are eligible to register for the ceremony.

Each graduating student will be allowed to invite up to two guardians to attend the event, as per the arrangement made by the university.

Academic Medals for Top Performers

Deputy Controller of Examinations Dilip Kumar Yadav shared that medals will be awarded during the ceremony.

Four students with top results at the university level and ten students with outstanding performance in each faculty or academic program will be honored with medals.

A Historic Milestone for the University

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Amar Prasad Yadav stated that the university is treating this as a historic milestone and making thorough preparations to ensure it becomes a memorable and meaningful event.
