In Gangadev Rural Municipality, daily life isn't always easy, but over the years, the local government has been trying to meet people where they are. Whether it’s helping a child get to school, a mother reach a health post in time, or a farmer connect to the market, these small, steady changes have started making a difference.
The municipal office, based in Sanadanda (Jinawang), serves as the primary point of contact for many individuals seeking support, whether for official documents, land records, or community-related issues.
It’s not just a government center. For many, it’s a place to get questions answered and problems heard, without needing to travel far.
Getting medical care in a rural area is always a challenge. That’s why the helipad built in Sukhaodar has been a lifeline, especially in emergencies. It’s used when someone needs to be flown out for urgent treatment, like expectant mothers or serious accidents.
The municipality is also investing in basic health equipment, enabling local health posts to be better prepared.
One of the things that used to worry parents was the lack of teachers in local schools. Now, the municipality has taken on the responsibility of hiring and funding more than 160 teachers.
