Project Coordinator Vacancy Announcement at Nepal Bar Association

The Nepal Bar Association, one of the leading organizations in the legal sector, is seeking applications for the position of Project Coordinator. The coordinator will work in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs of Nepal Government towards institutional reforms for access to justice under the "Institutional Reform for Access to Justice Project-II."

Position: Project Coordinator

Location: Nepal Bar Association, Ramshah Path, Kathmandu

Contract type: Fixed-term

Reports to: Nepal Bar Association and UNDP

Salary: As per organization's rules and regulations

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement activities under the Institutional Reform for Access to Justice Project-II.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and legal professionals, for the successful implementation of the project.
  • Manage and monitor project activities, including budgeting, reporting, and evaluation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of project outputs and outcomes as per the project's objectives.
  • Provide technical support to project team members and stakeholders as required.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with project partners, including UNDP and the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs of Nepal Government.
  • Prepare project progress reports and submit them to the Nepal Bar Association and UNDP as per the reporting requirements.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Nepal Bar Association and UNDP.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in law or a related field from a recognized university.
  • At least three years of experience in project coordination or management in the legal sector or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
  • Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with the Nepalese legal system and governance structures.
