POSITION TITLE: Chief of Party, Hamro Samman project

LOCATION: Kathmandu, Nepal

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Chief of Party will be responsible for implementing the Hamro Summon counter-trafficking program in Nepal. Hamro Summon is a five-year counter-trafficking in persons (CTIP) project supported by the United StatesAgency for International Development (USAID) and the United Kingdom's Department for International Development (UKaid) implemented by Winrock International. The program seeks to strengthen federal, provincial, and local government efforts to combat TIP, improve civil society organization advocacy, and increase private sector partnerships to assist survivors and those at risk of being trafficked.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Chief of Party is responsible for overall project management, supervision, administration, and implementation of the program. S/he will establish and maintain systems for project operations; ensure that all agreement deadlines are met and targets are achieved; coordinate and maintain working relationships with project stakeholders (including the Government of Nepal and private industry stakeholders, subgrantees, and/or subcontractors); lead collaborative initiatives with relevant government ministries and officials as well as private companies, and oversee the preparation and submission of technical and financial reports to USAID.

Education: Master's level degree required in international development, management, social science, human rights, education, economic development, law, public policy, or other related fields of study.

Technical: Applicants must have a minimum of eight years of experience in a senior management position in a project of similar magnitude and complexity, preferably including experience in cross-sector programming. Experience working in Nepal or the SouthAsia region is strongly preferred.
