Communication Specialist (1)
Key Responsibilities:
The Communication Specialist is responsible to contribute for strategic engagement to World Vision's communications across Nepal to:
- Develop and manage evidence-based high-quality content to engage the public and contribute to resource generation for strategy execution and impact.
- Build the reputation and influence of MI Nepal through mainstream and social media to mobilize public for social and policy change.
- Contribute as emergency communication focal in amplifying the voice of disaster-affected communities during an event of a disaster.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:
- Master's degree in Mass Communications/ Journalism or equivalent with at least five years professional experience in communications or media relations.
- Proven English language fluency (written and verbal). Excellent writing skills, with photographic and/or video skills.
- Knowledge of advocacy, development, and relief work.
- Understanding of media In Nepal.
- Knowledge and skills In Interpersonal and cross-cultural communication.
- Understanding of children's issues in Nepal and general experience in project management, with specific experience in the production of diverse and creative communications projects including publications, multi-media, websites/pages, photo, and video reports, etc.
