
Bharatpur Metropolitan City Provided Free Training to 7,241 People in FY 2081/82
Bharatpur Metropolitan City provided free training to 7,241 people in the fiscal year 2081/82. Prioritizing production, the Metropolitan City offered various self-employment-related training programs at the municipal and ward levels in collaboration with the Foreign Employment Board. Among the participants, 2,591 were men and 4,650 were women.

These training programs ranged from 15 days to three months in duration.
Objectives of the Training
The Metropolitan City stated that the main objectives of these training programs were:

To link labor with production.

To provide skills to those without any.

To create employment and self-employment opportunities for skilled individuals.

To enhance the professional level of those employed but lacking adequate skills, thereby increasing their income.
Remarks from the Mayor
Mayor Renu Dahal emphasized that with the development of infrastructure in Bharatpur, there is a growing demand for skilled manpower in various projects. Therefore, the free training program was prioritized. She added that industries and factories in the city are currently compelled to hire skilled workers from India and other countries.
Mayor Dahal further stated that the purpose of arranging these training programs is to prepare youths for self-employment and to create an environment for them to stay and work within the country. The Metropolitan City also announced plans to expand the free training programs in the coming fiscal year.
