Decline in SEE Grade Improvement Exam Participation
The number of students participating in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) Grade Improvement Exam has decreased. Following the results published on Asar 13, the National Examination Board will conduct the Grade Improvement Exam from Shrawan 29 for students who failed in the main examination.
According to the board, 167,000 students fell into the Non-Graded (NG) category in the recent results. However, only 142,853 eligible students have filled out the registration form for the Grade Improvement Exam, as confirmed by Grade 10 Examination Controller Tukraj Adhikari.
In past years, not all registered students have attended the exam. For this year’s Grade Improvement Exam, the board has designated 469 exam centers nationwide. On the first day, the compulsory English subject will be tested. Exams for general stream subjects will conclude on Bhadra 4, while technical stream exams will end on Bhadra 6.
Since students who pass the Grade Improvement Exam will be allowed to enroll in Grade 11 in the current academic session, the board is preparing to publish the results before Dashain.
860 Results Changed After Re-totalling
A total of 860 students saw changes in their SEE results after applying for re-totalling due to dissatisfaction with their previously published results on Asar 13.
Out of 27,315 applicants for re-totalling, results were announced in five phases. According to Controller Adhikari, about three percent of applicants had changes in their results.
Some students saw an increase in their previous marks, with a few even reaching a perfect GPA of 4. The SEE results published on Asar 13 showed a pass rate of 61.81 percent. Out of 438,896 students who took the exam, 271,299 passed, while 167,597 fell into the Non-Graded category.
