Koshi Pradesh Govt Call Proposals by Educational Institutions Schools for Apprenticeship Program

Provincial Government Social Development Ministry, Koshi Province, Biratnagar Notice for Submission of Proposals by Educational Institutions/Schools for Industrial Trainee Training (Apprenticeship Program)

According to the bilateral agreement between the Government of Nepal and the Government of Switzerland, the Skill Project for Sustainable and Dignified Employment in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) will conduct a 24-month industrial trainee training (apprenticeship program) from the upcoming fiscal year 2081/082 BS under the budget of this ministry for ENSSURE - II. Therefore, affiliated educational institutions, partner schools, and community schools within Koshi Province running technical education programs (TECS) interested in operating this program are invited to submit proposals to the Social Development Ministry, Koshi Province, Biratnagar, by 2081 Asar 26 BS. The proposal format can be downloaded from the Social Development Ministry's website mosd.koshi.gov.np.

Details

  1. The selection, admission, and evaluation of trainees for the pre-diploma level industrial trainee training (apprenticeship program) approved by the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) will be conducted as per the trainee selection, admission, and evaluation guidelines. Successful trainees will receive certificates from CTEVT.

  2. The 24-month apprenticeship program will be conducted based on workplace-based learning at both the educational institution and industry/business.

  3. Of the 24 months, the first 3.5 months will involve theoretical classes at the educational institution, followed by 19.5 months (78 weeks) of workplace-based training at the relevant industry/business. Therefore, proposals must include details of potential industry/business related to the training subject.

  4. This program will be conducted as per the notice published by the Examination Control Office, CTEVT, from the upcoming fiscal year 2081/082 BS.

  5. Trainees selected for the apprenticeship program will have the opportunity to study for free. Educational institutions/schools running the program will receive operational grants from this ministry as per the standards approved by CTEVT.

  6. Proposals must be submitted for the following trades approved by CTEVT for the apprenticeship program: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering (Building Construction), Hotel Management, Information Technology, Early Childhood Development Facilitation (ECDF), and Tea Technology. If additional curricula are approved by CTEVT, new notices will be published accordingly.

  7. Proposals can be submitted for a maximum of four trades approved by CTEVT for pre-diploma or diploma levels. Proposals must be submitted for 20, 30, or 40 trainees per program.

  8. Among the proposals registered within the specified time, the Social Development Ministry will select the educational institutions, trades, and quota numbers. The Social Development Ministry reserves the right to approve, partially approve, approve quotas, or reject the proposals.

  9. HELVETAS Nepal will provide training program monitoring and technical support on behalf of the ENSSURE project.
