On the occasion of entering its 29th year, Pokhara University has honored faculty and staff members who have served for more than 25 years.
The university recognized the following individuals for their long service:

Anniversary Celebrated with Tree Plantation
Established on Shrawan 1, 2054 BS under the Pokhara University Act 2053, the university marks its anniversary each year through various events.
This year, the celebration included a long-service medal ceremony and a tree plantation program held on the university premises.
Leadership Reflections and Institutional Commitment
Addressing the program, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bedraj KC stated that Pokhara University has firmly established itself as a significant institution in higher education.
He expressed gratitude to former office bearers, education supporters, and social contributors who played a role in the university’s growth.
He also shared optimism that the policies and programs presented through the 25th University Assembly would be implemented more effectively in the days ahead.
Commission’s Continued Commitment
Prof. Tirtharaj Aryal, Chairperson of the Pokhara University Service Commission, emphasized that the Commission has been working in line with the university's guidelines and pledged continued efforts in alignment with the institution's goals and plans.
Reflections on 25 Years of Growth
Associate Prof. Dr. Ajay Thapa, Registrar, reflected on his journey with the university, expressing pride in serving continuously for 25 years.
He recalled that Pokhara University began with 12–15 postgraduate students, 28 undergraduate students, and around 8–10 staff members. Today, it operates through 65 colleges and serves over 35,000 students pursuing higher education.
He credited this achievement to the collective efforts of founders, administrators, faculty, staff, and students.
Call for Collaborative Development
Former Registrar Prof. Dr. Deepak Bahadur Bhandari, Dean of the Faculty of Management Associate Prof. Dayaraj Dhakal, President of the Faculty Association Associate Prof. Niranjan Shrestha, and Director of the School of Business Associate Prof. Srijan Gyawali all highlighted the need for collaborative effort to further develop the university as a center of quality education.
