
Sudurpaschim PSC Postpones Ninth-Level Officer Exam Following Court Order
The Sudurpaschim Province Public Service Commission has postponed the ninth-level officer examination under the Provincial Civil Service.
The exam was suspended following a short-term interim order issued by the Supreme Court.
The Commission had published a notice on Falgun 20 for officer-level recruitment through promotion based on seniority and performance evaluation for non-technical and technical positions.
Recruitment Breakdown by Evaluation Method
Under the seniority and performance evaluation category, 35 candidates were invited to compete for 30 technical posts.
Similarly, for the work capability evaluation method, 50 candidates were called for 49 technical posts.
Legal Challenge by Agriculture and Forest Service Staff
Employees from the Agriculture and Forest Services filed a petition at the Supreme Court, stating that they were not allowed to take the internal competitive exam within their group.
Following the hearing, the Supreme Court issued a short-term interim order on Baisakh 22 addressed to the Sudurpaschim Public Service Commission.
Examination Process Temporarily Halted
After receiving the Supreme Court’s order, the Commission suspended all exam activities mentioned in the previous notice.
Commission Branch Officer Mina Joshi confirmed that no further steps will be taken regarding the examination until another directive is issued by the court.
