British College holds 11th graduation
The British College (TBC), under the British Education Group, held its 11th graduation ceremony on Friday at The Soaltee, honoring 639 graduates from its undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including 125 students from British Model College.
Graduates from TBC’s partner universities—Leeds Beckett University, the University of the West of England, and Keele University—were formally recognized during the event.
The ceremony was conducted in two sessions. The morning session was dedicated to graduates from the School of Business, including BBA, MBA, HBM, and EMBA programs. The afternoon session conferred degrees from the School of IT, including BSc (Hons) Computing; BSc (Hons) Cyber Security and Digital Forensics; MSc IT; and Advanced Computer Science. Cambridge A-Level graduates were also conferred.
The program opened with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by British Education Group CEO Rajan Kandel. Extending his congratulations to graduates, parents, and guests, he remarked that the ceremony reflected both academic success and the strength of global education. “Our graduates are moving forward as confident, capable, and compassionate leaders who will have a positive impact at home and abroad,” he said, according to the College.
Academic Dean Dr. Declan P. Bannon also congratulated the graduates. Other speakers included the Deputy British Ambassador to Nepal, Dr. Luke Beaumont; Dolma Fund Management CEO Tim Gocher; College advisors Michael Rutland, Paul Cleaves, and John Park; and Leeds Beckett University senior faculty member Dave Chesley.
