Math Museum Program Launched in Nepal Schools

Math Museum Program Begins Inside Schools in Nepal

Embark Unmath has launched Nepal’s first-ever Math Museum program inside schools. This innovative initiative aims to take mathematics beyond textbooks and into the realm of hands-on, practical learning.

According to Embark Unmath, the program transforms schools into vibrant math hubs where students can physically engage with mathematical concepts—through touching, building, and interacting. The goal is to spark curiosity and promote student-led learning.

While explaining the initiative, Embark Unmath’s co-founder, Divesh Bathija, said,

“Through the Math Museum, we want to show that math isn’t just about numbers on paper. It’s about shapes, stories, and possibilities. Once students understand and explore the subject, they begin to see math everywhere. We believe this program will redefine how students relate to learning.”

Supporting Both Students and Teachers

Embark Unmath states that the program helps students build a positive connection with mathematics. At the same time, it provides teachers with new and practical teaching methodologies that can enrich the classroom experience.

Collaboration with Schools and Local Communities

The participating schools play a key role in the success of this initiative. By working together with Embark Unmath, they help showcase the potential of talented students and host community-based programs, providing dedicated spaces for interactive exhibitions.

Long-Term Commitment to Learning Innovation

Even after the initial program ends, Embark Unmath has committed to continued support. Their vision is to make programs like the Math Museum a permanent part of the learning ecosystem in schools—nurturing a lifelong love of mathematics in every student.
