Vyas Municipality Ensures Orphaned Children Celebrate Dashain with Families
This year, the orphaned children studying at Samata School, established by Vyas Municipality, will get the opportunity to celebrate Dashain with their families. The municipality coordinated with the children’s relatives and arranged for their safe transportation to their homes.
Teacher Purnima Roka informed that all children have been sent home to celebrate Dashain. She said they were placed under the care of their maternal uncles, grandfathers, uncles, and other relatives to ensure they can spend the festival safely and comfortably at home.
Ismon Ansari, a Grade 7 student, expressed his emotions saying, “I am very happy to celebrate Dashain with my family. Since the municipality has arranged safe transportation, my fear has gone away.”
Municipality’s Commitment to Child Care
Vyas Municipality has been providing free meals, accommodation, and education to the children studying at the school.
Municipality Chief Baikuntha Nyaupane said, “Our duty is not just to take care of the children but also to ensure their safe return home. We want them to celebrate the festival with their families while continuing their education without interruption.”
