Nepal Academy (Nepal Pragya-Pratisthan) is not only an intellectual center for scholars and academics. It is also a distinctive public institution that delivers various services for ordinary citizens, students, researchers, and creators. To implement its policy goals for the protection, promotion, and development of Nepal’s language, literature, culture, philosophy, and social sciences, the Academy has been operating multiple services on an ongoing basis.
The main purpose of the Academy’s service delivery is the democratization of knowledge. The library service available here, the study of rare manuscripts, the publication of academic books and journals, and national-level literary and cultural festivals help raise the country’s intellectual standard. In addition, by making its modern halls available for public programs, the Academy also provides physical infrastructure that supports cultural and intellectual discourse.
