Eligibility for admission
Admission requirements vary by academic program and are tied to Purbanchal University eligibility and entrance provisions.
Applicants seeking admission to engineering and architecture programs must meet the university's academic eligibility requirements and qualify through the B.E./B.Arch. entrance process. Relevant eligibility routes include +2 or equivalent education, A Level, and specified diploma pathways under Purbanchal University requirements.
For BCA-IT, the minimum criteria effective from the 2082-2083 intake require applicants to have passed +2 or equivalent with at least a D grade in each subject, D+ under the old grading system, and an aggregate GPA of at least 2.0.
Applicants may also qualify through Intermediate or a three-year Diploma in any stream with at least 45 percent. For A Level, applicants need at least an E grade in each subject or 45 percent in aggregate.
BIT follows a similar academic threshold. Under the Intermediate route, applicants require at least 45 percent along with 100 marks in Mathematics or Computer Science. A three-year Diploma in any stream is also accepted under the stated criteria. A Level applicants need at least an E grade in each subject or 45 percent in aggregate.
Meeting the academic minimum is followed by the applicable entrance and college admission process.
Admission process
For programs under the Faculty of Engineering, eligible applicants begin by submitting the online entrance application required by Purbanchal University. They must then pass the university entrance examination.
KhEC prepares its merit list in accordance with the Purbanchal University entrance result. Applicants included on the college merit list are called for an interview or aptitude test. Candidates who complete the required stages successfully become eligible for admission.
The Faculty of Science and Technology admission process follows a similar sequence. Applicants complete the relevant Purbanchal University and college application requirements, sit for the entrance examination, and are considered through the entrance result and college merit list. Listed candidates attend the college interview before admission.
Following the interview, selected applicants are required to complete the admission process within the specified period according to seat availability. The admission procedure indicates a period of around two to three days after interview for fee submission, with available seats filled under the stated first-come-first-basis procedure.
