Mangal Multiple Campus Conducted Atlas TI Training

A one-day workshop on Atlas TI, which is useful for qualitative research, has been completed. The Mangal Multiple Campus, Nayabazar in Kirtipur, provided training on Atlas TI to teachers who have been teaching at various campuses.

Atlas TI software, which is useful for analyzing data in the field of qualitative research, has recently been used in universities in Nepal. At the seminar, Tribhuvan University's Prof. Dr. Laxmi Bahadur Maharjan, Prof. Dr. Shyam Krishna Maharjan, Assistant Prof. Dr. Umanath Sharma and Assistant Prof. Dr. Tekmani Karki provided training on it.

At the closing ceremony, trainees Upesh Maharjan and Saraswati Shakya said that the use of Atlas TI software in research and teaching would be fruitful in teaching, learning and teaching methods.

Atlas TI is a handy tool that researchers use to dig into all kinds of non-number stuff—like interview transcripts, survey answers, videos, or pictures. It’s built for qualitative research, which is a fancy way of saying it. It helps you determine the deeper meaning behind things people say, do, or create instead of focusing on math or statistics. Imagine it as a super-organized digital notebook where you can dump all your research goodies—text, audio, or images—and then start sorting through the mess.

Let’s say you’ve got hours of chats with people about their favorite coffee. With Atlas TI, you can pull out the best quotes, tag them with ideas like “loves the taste” or “hates the price,” and see how everything connects. It’s like sticking pins on a giant corkboard, but way cooler—you can search for words, link thoughts, and even draw maps of what you find. Folks in sociology, psychology, or market research love it because it helps them spot trends and understand what makes people tick without drowning in a pile of notes. It’s about making sense of the wild, messy stuff of life!
